Noelle Makhaukane Ngobeni holds various qualifications with Tshwane University of Technology, University of South Africa, Durban University of Technology and the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).
Her work experience span across the public sector – government departments and state-owned companies such as the Department of Public Works; Department of Agriculture; and the Medical Research Council (MRC). She gained vast experience in working with multinational stakeholders, suppliers and customers from foreign countries around Africa, Asia, America and Europe.
Beyond the public sector, Noelle has over 12 years’ experience in Entrepreneurship Development, with organisations such as Enablis South Africa and The Hope Factory. Both organisations are a not-for-profit institutions which focuses on establishing a network of entrepreneurs in developing countries as well as equipping and supporting previously-disadvantaged South Africans to establish and grow their businesses.
When the entrepreneurial bug bit in 2012, she established Quatre Saisons (Pty) Ltd, an interior décor and design, furniture manufacturing and supply for offices, residential homes, hospitality industries and commercial businesses. The company name draws its origin from the French language meaning “Four Seasons”. “We pride ourselves on offering a personalised service, a competitive price and various qualities to suit a wide variety of market segments, says Noelle matter-of-factly.”
This qualified Interior Decorator (CODEC Institute-Tshwane University of Technology) has over 15 years experience and boasts passion for design and attention to detail and inspired clients and her team to deliver the best excellent service possible. Her knowledge of residential and workspace design, combined with an innate understanding of how buildings fit together, provides practical solutions with a strong aesthetic. “We endeavour to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations.”

She defines her company’s mission as “simple” which is “develop interior design and décor experiences that are distinctive, compelling and of superb quality and individuality.”

Valuing the significance of diversification and interdependencies deriving from the house of brands architecture, she also established other vehicles to build a stable. She co-owns such companies as Oyara Enterprises Incorporated – a company that provides training, resources, tools, and knowledge that vulnerable and disadvantaged communities need to fight poverty, gain economic independence and grow. Another is Handy Vendor, a company that enables clients to drive cost down and increase sales and profits with effective web- based solutions. And SME Digital Handbook, a company that seeks to advance access to market within corporates, government entities and its parastatals and a broader general public through enlisting the SME’s into a digital handbook that works like directory book.

Positioning herself as a woman leader she is endowed with an insatiable passion for nation building through social entrepreneurship, Noelle also works with a number of community development organisations.
She serves in the Board of Directors of DreamGirls International Outreach and Mentoring Program in South Africa, where she promotes the enrolment and success of young women in institutions of higher education, through mentorship and empowering of young women together with other community role models, young leaders and professionals.
She also works with Bumba Rifumo Investment NPC, an organization that promotes personal financial independence and debt-free life amongst members and encourages group investments whilst saving money to eventually invest into movable or immovable assets.
Passionate about inculcating a culture of literacy, she founded Limpopo READS Foundation whose vision is to give children in Limpopo – the worst performing province in matriculation examinations – access to books and for them to discover the joys and value of reading.
Her wings in the NGO sector are spread far and wide. She is the South Africa’s Country Advocate Delegate for Supporting Public Advocacy for Regional Competitiveness (SPARC). “In this role I advocate for a need to cultivate an enabling environment for South African women in business, corporate and general labour force to influence them in signing the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles.
This consummate professional also serves in the Board of Directors at DadFund; a dynamic non-profit organization aimed at promoting the holistic development of South Africa’s future leaders through entrepreneurship and leadership programmes, and provides internships and scholarship opportunities.
And last, but not least, she the Co-founder and Member of the Limpopo Young Professionals Network (LYPN); a network of young professionals and business owners where they share great ideas, market their businesses and empower each other.
All her efforts in nation building, entrepreneurial capacity development; women and youth entrepreneurial skills development; entrepreneurship development and professional development within her community and beyond were recognised and rewarded. In 2015 she was recognised at the Gauteng Givers Awards “Honouring Women and Business Making a Difference”. A year earlier, she was nominated for the CEO Magazine’s “Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government in the SADC Region”.
