In pursuit of recognising exceptional Africans who embody the spirit of self-determination, dignity, and exceptionalism, the African Genius Awards (AGA), a special initiative by Priority Performance Projects, has successfully concluded the nomination phase. Dr. Sifiso Falala, the visionary behind AGA, extends gratitude to those who submitted nominations and wishes luck to the luminaries nominated.
Adjudication is set to commence promptly, with winners anticipated to be unveiled on May 25, 2024, coinciding with Africa Day. This symbolic date commemorates the launch of the Organization for African Unity (OAU) in 1963, now known as the African Union.
AGA addresses the critical need for problem-solving skills, efficient processes, and cost-effective approaches in tackling African challenges. The awards aim to uplift the continent by recognising individuals who contribute significantly to African self-determination.
Beyond accolades, AGA aspires to foster self-confidence, self-love, and self-actualisation, countering the lingering effects of historical victimisation. By showcasing African geniuses, AGA aims to inspire hope and reverse the impact of systematic self-sabotage.
This initiative seeks to motivate all Africans, particularly children and the youth, towards exceptional performance, instilling a belief in a globally competitive Africa. AGA engages with a diverse generation, emphasising the awards’ relevance to Africans across all ages.

The AGA Adjudication Committee, comprising six experts from various fields, will rigorously evaluate nominees. Verification and research will be conducted by Plus 94 Research, an independent company dedicated to ensuring the integrity of the selection process.
