The organizing committee of the Phatse Justice Piitso Annual Soccer Tournament is thrilled to announce and express its heartfelt gratitude for the generous donation from the Premier of Gauteng Province, Mr. Panyaza Lesufi. The Premier’s donation, consisting of a complete set of seven soccer outfits, marks a significant contribution to the tournament’s success.

The committee deeply appreciates this benevolent gesture and extends sincere thanks to Premier Lesufi for his unwavering commitment to the development of sports and communities in the country. The contribution is poised to make a substantial impact by uplifting the youth of the rural village of Ga-Masemola and its surrounding areas, fostering cohesion among the local populace.

In an effort to ensure that each participating team benefits, all sixteen teams will now receive a complete set of soccer outfits. Moreover, the last four teams in the competition will receive additional soccer outfits, while the winning team will not only claim the prize money and trophy but also receive extra outfits, enhancing the sense of camaraderie and team spirit.

Demonstrating a commitment to community leaders and sports developers, the organizing committee has decided to donate a set of soccer outfits to Mr. Kgarole George Mahlase, a local community leader and sports developer, along with his soccer team, Masemola Hungry Lions. This gesture acknowledges his significant contribution to the development of sports in the local community and emphasizes the importance of grassroots initiatives.

Further adding to the community spirit, the tournament’s patron, Mr. Phatse Justice Piitso, will personally donate an outfit to his childhood and home ground soccer team, Masemola Kicks. This commendable effort is geared towards not only fostering athletic prowess but also shaping the future of the young people in the area, instilling a sense of pride, unity, and belonging.

The committee looks forward to a successful tournament, made possible by the invaluable support of Premier Lesufi and other community leaders, reinforcing the notion that sports can be a powerful catalyst for positive change and community development.
