The Zodwa Khoza Foundation will this year host a Digital Future Careers for the youth on 16 June 2022 in commemoration of Youth Day. The aim of this initiative is to assist young people from Soweto and surrounding communities to broaden their prospective career choices. We will feature a lineup of guest speakers who represent industries that are rapidly becoming digitized and interact with exhibitors who will showcase career possibilities that students could consider pursuing.
Ms Sonono Khoza, Founder and Chairperson of the Zodwa Khoza Foundation said: “The world is rapidly becoming more and more digitized, therefore it’s important for our youth to understand how they fit into the picture and how they can add their talents and skills to a technologically advanced economy. Granted, South Africa has a long way to go in catching up with the rest of the world, however equipping the youth with the knowledge and perspective at an earlier age, could be exactly what we need to catch up.”
Exhibitors and speakers include SA Space-Technology for Sustainable Development Foundation, Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), CXI AFRICA, Coding School, PROTRADING AFRICA, XeshaSA, PARKTELL, aRISETV and Even Me, an online portal and app aimed at inspiring and motivating the youth to be the best version of themselves.
