His Majesty, Vho-Thovhele Adv. Tshedza Netshimbupfe, Senior Royal Leader of Tshimbupfe Traditional Community strongly believes that his fruitful engagements with Limpopo Social Development MEC, Florence Radzilani, demonstrate the provincial government’s respect for traditional leadership and their ability to drive socio-economic development in rural communities.
On Tuesday earlier this week, MEC Radzilani paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Vho-Thovhele Adv. Tshedza Netshimbupfe at Manobi Royal Palace.
The MEC’s visit provided an opportunity for the two leaders to engage on key developmental issues, strengthening relations between the provincial government and the Netshimbupfe Royal Dynasty with the view of fostering collaboration in accelerating service delivery and community upliftment.
MEC Radzilani also used her courtesy visit to hands out social relief of distress or food parcels to deserving households.
On behalf of all the people of Tshimbupfe especially those who are less fortunate, I extend our deepest gratitude to the MEC and her team for their compassionate intervention and the relief delivered to our most vulnerable families.
Her action did not only provided immediate sustenance, but it also restored dignity to households long burdened by poverty.
We are aware that the MEC’s community outreach of handing over food parcels did not cover all needy households in our area, but we are profoundly grateful to residents of Tshimbupfe village for their cooperation, patience, and most importantly, for allowing the allowing destitute poverty stricken families to be the first ones to be prioritised.
Our residents solidarity ensured an orderly and respectful distribution of food parcels that exemplified the communal spirit like a glue that binds us together.
By placing the needs of the poorest of the poor before personal convenience, you have shown the love and moral duty that sustain our community.” said Vho-Thovhele Netshimbupfe.
The MEC’s initiative is a powerful example of public service space guided by love, caring, belonging and the moral law that calls everyone to care for one another.
While we celebrate the temporary relief of distress, we must also commit to sustained change.
I therefore, call upon the MEC’s office and all levels of government to:
- Scale up and institutionalise similar drives to ensure that assistance to the poorest households is regular and predictable.
- Embed support for the poorest as a permanent feature of government policy, reflected in planning, budgeting, and monitoring.
- Prioritise social protection, skills development, and economic inclusion so that relief leads to transformation and long‑term empowerment.
In this way, we want to once again offer our special thanks to the MEC, officials from her department whose planning and logistical support made the intervention possible.
We also want to thank the staff members of Tshimbupfe Tribal Authority for their tireless work in organising the distribution and safeguarding the dignity of recipients.
To every volunteer and stakeholders who gave time, energy, and care despite limited resources, your commitment turned intention into impact.
